OVERVIEW: In 2005, the Grand American Road Racing Association experienced its biggest year ever in the organizationís six-year history. The increased action and close competition in both the Rolex Sports Car Series and the Grand-Am Cup Series caught the attention of fans at the races and watching at home, as both series have posted gains in race attendance, television ratings, households and total viewership in 2005. In addition, media coverage of the series is also at an all-time high.

- Households Up 6%
- Ratings Up 4%
- Four races experienced rating gains of more than 70%
- Grand Prix of Miami ratings up 186%; households up 202%; viewership up 180%
- Mont-Tremblant ratings up 78%; households up 89%; viewership up 106%
- Brumos Porsche 250 ratings up 71%; households up 74%; viewership up 69%
- Porsche 250 (Barber Motorsports Park) ratings up 129%; households up 141%; viewership up 153%
- In addition to the top-four gainers:
- Rolex 24 At Daytona ratings up 2%; households up 6%; viewership up 15%
- VIR 400 ratings up 5%; households up 7%; viewership up 11%
Grand-Am Cup Series
- Households Up 34%
- Viewership Up 20%
- Ratings Up 27%
- Three races experienced rating gains of more than 70%
- Barber Park 200 ratings up 86%; households up 90%; viewership up 74%
- Phoenix Twin 200s ratings up 160%; households up 137%; viewership up 135%
- VIR 200 ratings up 75%; households up 70%; viewership up 85%
- In addition to the top-four gainers:
- Grand-Am Cup 200(Daytona) ratings up 12%; households up 16%; viewership up 3%
- California 200 ratings up 17%; households up 20%; viewership up
